The Ubicomp based games solution package

The Ubicomp based games solution package is targeted at pervasive games that use aspects of ubiquitous computing (e.g., small networked computers, sensors and actuators embedded in physical everyday objects) in order to provide a gaming experience to the players. The package is made up of a Java library that provides an API for building pervasive games, along with a set of tools that be used during development, testing or debugging, or even when running a game session with real players. The main Java gaming library is based on the IPerG PART and PIMP platforms.

Examples of IPerG games that has been built using the Ubicomp solution package include Momentum, The Node Game and Crash.

The package distribution comes in the form of a Windows installer which can be downloaded using this link. Installation instructions and an overview of the package contents can be found in this document. The package distribution contains more detailed information concerning the package content, its supported game model as well as programmer API.
